THE inaugural 2024 Malaysia Inventor and Innovator Convention (MyIIC) is set to take place at Universiti Sains Malaysia from Dec 8 to Dec 10.
MyIIC organising chairman Cheah Bok Eng said the convention is now available for registration.
“The convention will feature 11 presentations covering a wide range of subjects, including AI, Semiconductor, Medical, Modern Agriculture, Intellectual Property and more by industry leaders. In addition, there will be two panel sessions and one pre-event Internet of Things (IoT) workshop.
“This convention offers a golden opportunity to network with prolific Malaysian inventors, C-suite leaders and innovation specialists from diverse sectors such as semiconductor, medical, agricultural and space industries.
“Participants will also have the chance to explore emerging trends in fast-growing industries and innovation showcases presented by Malaysian engineers and researchers,” Cheah said.
To inspire Malaysian undergraduates to seize this opportunity, Cheah, a Malaysian inventor holding the record for ‘Most Worldwide Patent Grants’, highlighted the affordable registration fees.
For university college students, the fee before Nov 1, is just RM20, inclusive of lunch and refreshments for both days.
MINDS members can register for RM100 while non-MINDS members will be charged RM250 before Nov 1, 2024. With only 300 seats available, early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
The pre-convention workshop, scheduled on Dec 8, will be held at Lantai Seni, Kompleks Cahaya (KOMCA), Universiti Sains Malaysia
Miroslav Kostecki, the Chief Technology Officer of STEMSEL Foundation, will conduct the programme, titled ‘Runlic Easy Coding for Internet of Things (IoT) Application.’ With his expertise, participants can expect an enlightening experience.
