315 MBSP employees rewarded for excellent services

THE high dedication and excellent quality of work performance paid off for 315 employees of the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) when they were rewarded with RM1,000 each for their outstanding services.

 

MBSP mayor Datuk Azhar Arshad announced that the recipients were recognized under the city council’s Excellent Service Awards (APC) for their exemplary performance in discharging their duties throughout the previous year.

 

“The 315 employees comprised seven recipients from the Management and Professional Group, 88 from the Implementation Group I, and 220 recipients from the Implementation Group II.

 

“In addition to the RM1,000 cash reward, each recipient also receives a certificate and an opportunity to further develop their careers, such as by attending courses, seminars or conferences.

 

“I fully express my gratitude and appreciation for the high dedication of all MBSP employees across various departments, who are always committed to improving the quality of service for the people of Seberang Perai.

 

“Today’s ceremony serves as proof that MBSP highly values all your valuable contributions to the city council,” Azhar said in his speech during the APC ceremony at Bukit Jawi Golf Resort in Nibong Tebal today.

 

Also present was Penang Local Government, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jason H’ng Mooi Lye.

 

Azhar also expressed his hope that the APC awards presented today would motivate the MBSP employees to continue delivering excellent services for many years to come.

 

One of the award recipients, Nurshela Marzuki, thanked MBSP for the recognition.

“This is my second time receiving the award since joining MBSP as an assistant administrative officer 15 years ago.

 

“It will definitely boost my spirit to always do my best in my field,” she said.

 

For general worker A. Dinathyalan Anthony Samy, this marks his first APC award in his 12 years of working for MBSP.

“Words cannot describe how happy I am now. I have been waiting for this for quite some time and finally, I managed to get it.

 

“I would like to thank MBSP for recognising my contribution all these years. Rest assured, I will continue to give my best in my work,” he said.

 

As for assistant environmental health officer Ewe Paik Tiong, today’s APC award marks his third since joining the city council in 2004.

“I thanked MBSP for this recognition. My advice to those who have not yet received this award is to always be responsible, honest and sincere in your work. Your time will come,” he said.

 

Meanwhile, H’ng congratulated all the recipients today and expressed hopes that the awards would inspire them to always give their best in providing their services to the city council.

On a separate matter, H’ng also advised city council staff to be more ethical when using social media and to be more supportive of policies implemented by the Unity government at the Federal and state levels.
