SOME 32 teams from the Jawi constituency have a challenging time competing at YB H’ng Mooi Lye’s badminton championship trophy held on December 2.
The tournament was held at Dewan Besar in Sungai Bakap, from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Nibong Tebal team comprising Azman Mustaffa, 19, and Mohamad Syaiful Amin Nashar, 18 emerged as the champion.
They took home RM500 cash, champion trophy and medals.
In second placing was Bagan Buaya team with players- Walliyuddin Kamaruddin, 28, and Hamireni Ramli, 35. The team won RM300 and medals.
Meanwhile, the Simpang Ampat team of Lim Jing Biao, 36 and Lim Jing Hui, 38, took third placing, and walked away with RM100 and medals.
Fourth place went to the duo of Wong Choo Khang, 37, and Lee Hock Seng, 38.
The tournament was organised by the Jawi constituency and Bukit Panchor Development and Village Security Committee (JKKK).
