THE Oneplace Sanctuary church members spread Christmas joy to the Bukit Mertajam AEON Mall visitors with their lively Christmas carolling performance yesterday.
According to the senior pastor of the church, Josephine Kumarathevan, this was their first Christmas carolling performance in a mall. Earlier on Dec 15, the carollers also visited the Shan Home in Inderawasih to share the joy of Christmas.
“All of us are thrilled to perform here and bring festive cheer to both the visitors and the staff.
“Christmas carolling is a cherished tradition in the Christian community, symbolising the gift of hope embodied in Jesus Christ.
“We would like to express our gratitude to BM AEON Mall for their support and we wish to come here again next year for another performance,” Josephine told Buletin Mutiara.
Meanwhile, Syazreen Johan, the representative from BM AEON Mall’s Leasing Department, praised the Oneplace Sanctuary’s carolling performance.
“It was a very good performance by the Oneplace Sanctuary carollers. They had a very interesting pattern.
“We look forward to collaborating with them again in the future,” syazreen added.
Syazreen shared that the BM AEON Mall also organises various activities for all the other festivities such as Deepavali, Hari Raya and Chinese New Year.
“For Christmas, we have a family treasure hunt and on Christmas Day itself, we have a Christmas Shushi making programme.
“The main ingredients will be provided by the organiser and the participants just need to bring items to enhance their sushis (presentation).
“We encourage everyone to take part in the programme and come as a family. Pre-registration can be made at the counter or via contacting 04-530 7625 or by visiting our official Facebook page,” she said.
