MOST of the businesses in Seberang Perai, which have been allowed to resume their businesses, must heed the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud said MBSP had obtained confirmation from the state National Security Council (NSC) that more sectors have been allowed to reopen in the latest SOP update for the states under phase two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
“Previously, the economic sectors would only be allowed to reopen after reaching the 50% of full vaccination target in the state.
“However, with the latest update, most of the sectors on the mainland are now given the greenlight to carry out their businesses with strict SOP compliance.
“The reopening of some sectors will benefit a total of 4,286 of licenced businesses in Seberang Perai.
“Although some of the businesses are allowed to resume their businesses, strict compliance with SOPs is a must.
“We will not hesitate to take stern action if anyone violates the necessary SOPs,” he said in a live broadcast on the MBSP Facebook Page today.
During the session, Rozali also answered some of the netizens’ questions posed on MBSP’s Facebook Page and shed some light on the SOPs.
