SOME 500 participants from the United Kingdom, Taiwan, China, Russia and Singapore have gathered for the Asia Week Advanced Innovation & Manufacturing (AIM) 2024, which kicked off at the St Giles The Wembley today.

 

The two-day programme, organised by HashTaqs, will resume tomorrow at the same venue.

 

AIM chairperson Reene Tan shared that the event would serve as a platform for cross-border and cross-industry learning, fostering collaboration among diverse sectors.

 

Tan also thanked the state government for the support through its agencies such as InvestPenang and Digital Penang to make the event a success.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo said Penang is dedicated to fostering a business-froendly environment that promotes growth and nurtures creativity.

 

“Our strategic vision is to establish Penang as a premier hub for innovation and excellence in manufacturing.

 

“This vision aligns with the goals of AIM Asia Week.

 

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing the essential support, infrastructure, and policies needed to achieve this.

 

“Together, let us build a future that prioritises sustainability, leverages cutting-edge technology, and fosters inclusive growth for all,” he added.

 

The participants include experts and technoprenuers speciliasing in AI technology, sustainability and capital-raising strategies.
