IN a bid to support investPenang promoting its investment, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow today announced the establishment of Penang Strategic Investment Advisory Council.
The council, which is a joint effort between the state government and the private sector, will advise the state on measures to develop and enhance Penang as a destination of choice for strategic investments.
Chow said the council members comprise individuals with vast experience and respected leaders from various industries.
He said it was state’s intention to form the council with members from diverse background and industries so as to obtain comprehensive inputs.
“It will enable the state to form constructive policies,” Chow told a press conference at Komtar.
“The council members could provide fruitful inputs to the state on potential business opportunities and challenges.”
investPenang is the state’s investment promotion agency and total service provider to manufacturing and services sectors.
The council members are:
