A TOTAL of 80 B40 families in the Seri Delima constituency have something to cheer about after receiving RM50 supermarket shopping vouchers.
Many of them were overjoyed after receiving the vouchers.
Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh, who was present, distributed the vouchers to 40 needy families who turned up. Another 40 vouchers were given to the Seri Delima service centre for distribution later.
“The recipients can redeem the vouchers at Sunshine Farlim Shopping Mall.
“The shopping vouchers can help to reduce the financial burden of the needy families, especially during this Covid-19 period,” he said before distributing the vouchers today.
Ramkarpal also conveyed his Chinese New Year greetings to those present and advised them to continue adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection.
Also present was Seri Delima assemblyman Syerleena Abdul Rashid.
