IT was a pleasant surprise and much welcome aid for a handicapped single mother when Seri Delima assemblymember R.S.N Rayer and Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh donated some RM350 worth of daily necessities and milk powder to her on Oct 17.
Rayer and Ramkarpal visited the family in Taman Tun Sardon to deliver the items.
Single mother Norhafizah Abd. Rahman, 34, has two daughters aged two years and six months each.
She lives with her mother Zaharah Puteh who is 80.
Norhafizah has a handicapped right arm which restricts her from doing much in daily life.
She said she is receiving monthly financial aid of RM350 from the Welfare Department and that is all she has to support her family.
“We will help Norhafizah by providing her with daily necessities, milk powder, pampers and food supply worth RM300 every month from now onwards.” said Rayer during a short interview session.
This will be a joint donation by Rayer and Ramkarpal to help support this family’s living expenses.
