THE global economy has been a whirlwind lately surrounding the US tariff hikes but despite these uncertainties, one thing clearly will roll on, which is the emergence of digital tools.

Today, in collaboration with Apple Malaysia and its local premium partner, Switch, Digital Penang organised a workshop called ‘Empowering Penang SMEs Through Apple’s Creative and Communication Tools’.

Apple, over the years, has been a trademark global identity that constantly stayed relevant in the world of technology, consistently introducing new devices for its customers worldwide.

State Infrastructure, Transport, and Digital Committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari said it was important for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to embrace digital tools to be able to drive productivity while improving customer service and unlocking new growth opportunities.

“In today’s fast-changing business landscape, technology is no longer optional but essential.

“That is why workshops like today’s are so important.

“They offer practical hands-on exposure to tools that are not only powerful but also accessible and scalable.

“From the MacBooks and iPhones to the iPads, Apple’s ecosystem provides flexible solutions that can easily be integrated into everyday operations.

“Take the iPad for instance, it allows entrepreneurs to manage inventory, coordinate teams, track progress and serve customers more efficiently, all from a single platform,” Zairil said in his speech during the opening of the workshop at Digital Penang at the Wisma Yeap Chor Ee building in George Town today.

Also present earlier was Digital Penang chief executive officer Ng Kwang Ming.
