THE Asian Board Games Festival (ABGF MY) will debut in Malaysia at 1st Avenue in George Town this weekend.

Organised by LUMA and Origame, in partnership with George Town Festival, ABGF MY 2024 promises an exciting celebration of board gaming culture, featuring over 50 tabletop games from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and beyond.

“This event will be held across two floors (ground floor and 1st floor) of 1st Avenue on July 20 and 21 from 10am to 10pm. It offers attendees a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a blend of strategy, competition, and community engagement.

“Board games are more than just a pastime; they are experiential art. Come for a weekend of fun with friends and families.

“Enjoy the creations from different countries and also meet the designers and artists behind the games,” organising chairperson Ong Choon Eng said.
