PENANG DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow repeated his party’s stand that they would not work with Umno leaders, who are currently facing charges in court.
Chow, who is also the Penang Chief Minister, concurred with DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng on the latter’s statement that the party would not cooperate with those facing court charges. Chow also serves as the Padang Kota assemblyman and Tanjong MP.
“Hypothetically, if the numbers involved Umno leaders, who are facing charges, the party could not work with such a coalition or personalities.
“Since the Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has yet to announce the numbers, we have to be patient.
“We have to wait for him to announce the numbers,” he told reporters after attending the e-learning devices handover ceremony at Sunshine Square in Bayan Baru today.
Chow had earlier welcomed Anwar’s announcement when the PKR leader claimed to have a strong majority to form the Federal Government and take over Putrajaya from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
