SOME 40 cyclists from the Bike on Friday (BoF) programme today endured a hilly terrain challenge by cycling from Starbucks Tanjong Tokong to Parkroyal Penang Resort in Batu Ferringhi.
The programme, aimed at promoting green activities and the ‘cycle-to-work’ culture, has reached its 234 rides in the space of four years since it was introduced.
The group cycles every Friday in a bid to promote cycling culture to working places. Its number has kept increasing.
Penang Island City Council (MBPP) mayor Datuk Yew Tung Seang and some of his staff members also joined the 11km ride from Tanjong Tokong to the tourism belt in Batu Ferringhi.
