Bonding with media via buka puasa feast

AS a gesture of appreciation for the contribution of the media practitioners, the Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC) recently hosted a buka puasa event at Ascott Gurney and treated them to a scrumptious buffet spread.

PWDC chief executive officer Ong Bee Leng said the event was also meant to strengthen the bond between the media and PWDC as well as the office of state executive councillor for Non-Islamic Religious Affairs and Social Development Chong Eng.

“We hope we can take this opportunity to build rapport with each other. And I would like to thank our media friends for always giving coverage to our events.

“By covering our programmes, you have also helped to advocate our gender equity agenda.

“Thank you for your continuous support shown to us and we hope you enjoy the food today,” Ong said during her speech at the event held on April 18.

Meanwhile, Chong Eng hoped that everyone could work together and achieve more things together.
