SOME 60,677 housewives below the age of 60 years in the state will be receiving RM100 each in the two-day incentive handout under the Ibu Emas (Golden Mothers) fund starting today.
Assemblymember for Datok Keramat Jagdeep Singh said this when he officiated the fund handout this morning at Maybank in Komtar.
Also present was assemblymember for KomtarTeh Lai Heng.
On another matter, Teh commented the first program of E-Kasih (poverty eradication ) started in 2012.
“However, the following programmes will be awaiting the Federal authorities,” adding that he welcomed the scheme which is meant to help the poor in eradication of poverty.
A total of 1,224 housewives, comprising 832 from Datok Keramat and 392 from Komtar constituencies respectively will be receiving their monetary assistance on Aug 11 & 12.
