PENANG local football club Bukit Tambun FC has launched its new football kit for its first season in the third tier of the Malaysian football league (M3 League) this year.
Bukit Tambun FC co-founder Goh Choon Aik, when unveiling the jersey, said it was designed and supplied by local clothing company Hakka Clo.
“It is a good clothing company with high quality products.
“For today, we only launch the home jersey first to prepare the team for the M3 League that will officially start tomorrow.
“For the home attire, it is a yellow coloured jersey with yellow shorts. While for a goalkeeper, it is a green coloured jersey with green shorts.
“We will introduce the away kit before our first away match which is on Feb 26,” said Goh during the launching ceremony at Design Village Outlet Mall in Bandar Cassia today.
Goh is also the Bukit Tambun assemblyman and the president of Nibong Tebal Football Association (NTFA).
Also present was Bukit Tambun FC president Foo Yu Keong.
According to Goh, the average age of Bukit Tambun FC players is 24.5 years, making it the youngest team to compete in M3 League this season.
Goh added that the public also would have the opportunity to buy the new jersey of Bukit Tambun FC.
“We will make the announcement regarding this matter soon,” he said.
At the launching ceremony, there was also the signing of sponsorship agreement between Hakka Clo and Bukit Tambun FC.
“It is a jersey sponsorship deal for this whole season which also includes the training kits as well,” said Goh.
Goh also expressed his hopes that the Bukit Tambun FC will do their best in their in the M3 League debut.
“This is our first time taking part in M3 League since the club was established in 2019.
“Thus, we have made enough preparation mentality and physically. And, we are confident of doing our best in our first season,” he added.
