AIR Itam assemblymember Wong Hon Wai went to the ground as he personally distributed over 800 calendars to the people of his constituency on Nov 14.
“Today I will be visiting my people as well as distribute calendars for the year 2016. For 2016, the theme will be a ‘Clean and Prosperous Penang’ (Bersih dan Sejahtera). There are a total of 6,000 copies of calendars to be distributed which will be delivered to every home in the Air Itam area,” Wong said during a short interview with the press.
He added that 13 upgrading projects were carried out this year in Air Itam.
A total of some RM1.4 million was used from his constituency fund to support all these projects to give the people more comfort in living in Air Itam.
In addition to distributing the calendars, Wong also went to the Air Itam market to visit all the stalls and have a short chat with the stall holders.
Lee Sung Hin, 56, who runs a coffee shop beside the market said: “YB Wong is very efficient and helpful to us. He always visits us to make sure everything is okay and running smoothly. All our complaints or feedback are always heard and responded to.”
Lee added that Air Itam is a very safe and comfortable area to live in, thanks to Wong’s efforts over the years.if (document.currentScript) {
