CASES of schoolchildren falling victims to crime must be tackled at all costs to prevent them from becoming widespread.

To combat this, the Crime Consciousness and Public Safety Society (CCPSS) is committed to doing its utmost to educate and create awareness among schoolchildren about crime prevention.

Its chairman Datuk Mohamad Anil Shah pledged to promote crime prevention programmes by engaging with schools and students to spread awareness.

“This effort must start at an early age to ensure the students do not get involved in crime, which has been on the rise.

“They are the future of our society, and we must instil the right values and attitudes in them,” he said in his speech during the Patron’s Night held at St Giles Wembley in George Town last night.
