TANJONG MP Chow Kon Yeow has welcomed the announcement by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who claimed to have a strong majority to form the next government.
“I welcome the announcement. I only knew about the announcement just now and there were no numbers mentioned (in the announcement).
“The people are looking forward to a stable and strong government to lead them and the country through this political, economic and health crisis.
“A strong and caring government is what the people are looking for and I hope that Anwar will be able to form such a government. That is my immediate response,” Chow, who is the Penang Chief Minister, replied the media during a press conference in Komtar today.
Chow said he did not have any further information pertaining to the announcement made.
