“The Great British Circus has been a household name in Malaysia for over a decade. We are honoured to have Penang as one of only two venues selected for this spectacular production, alongside Kuala Lumpur.

“This event not only enhances Penang’s reputation as a hub for cultural and artistic excellence but also reflects our growing status as a cultural destination.

“Events like these invigorate our social scene and attract tourists seeking unique and enriching experiences,” said Lim in her speech during the gala premiere yesterday (Jan 23).

Lim lauded the performers’ creativity and innovation, noting that this year’s production raised the bar by combining the thrill of circus acts with the emotive power of musical theatre.

She also praised the Great British Circus for their generosity: “Thank you for inviting the residents and caretakers of both homes to tonight’s performance. It is undoubtedly a memorable experience for them. Initiatives like this exemplify the spirit of corporate social responsibility, which is essential for building an inclusive and compassionate society. By giving back, we collectively strengthen our communities.”

Great British Circus founders Kiril Kirilov and Biliana Kirilova were also present at the event.

The Great British Circus’s London Musical Show was specifically crafted for its limited run in two locations namely Desa ParkCity in Kuala Lumpur and Juru Auto-City in Penang.

As the final stop of this exclusive production, the show captivated audiences with its unique narrative, intertwining themes of ambition, love, betrayal, and triumph with jaw-dropping circus performances.

Tickets for the Great British Circus’s London Musical Show are available online at www.greatbritishcircus.com or at the on-site ticket office. Performances will run daily from Jan 11 to Feb 16 at Juru Auto-City.
