CHIEF Minister Chow Kon Yeow and his entourage took some time off to visit Pulau Tikus which comes under the Bukit Bendera parliamentary constituency.
The visit was to understand the issues faced by the locals.
During his visit, Chow and his team spent some time at the Kampung Sireh temporary hawker site and provided 20 packets of basic necessities to the needy families.
He listened attentively to the issues raised by the people and even toured the Kampung Sireh pocket park.
Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee, who was present, said the toilet of the temporary hawker site had just been upgraded.
“We want to provide a better facility for the community and the patrons,” he said.
Later, Chow and his entourage went to have the famous Edgecumbe Road Mee Goreng in Gurney Drive.
