THE Penang government will await the feasibility study on the Penang Hill cable car service.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said in a press conference today that the advertisement was just an announcement by Penang Hill Corporation (PHC), calling for a Request for Proposal (RFP) to conduct pre-feasibility study for Penang Hill cable car service.
He was responding to concerns that the hill might not be able to cope with the huge number of visitors if there is the cable car service.
The advertisement announcing the tender stated that the closing date for RFP submission is on July 19 (noon).
