Commemorative badges for Penang Hill visitors using funicular railway on 100th anniversary

IN celebration of the 100th anniversary of Penang Hill funicular railway, the Penang Hill Corporation will be giving away commemorative badges to every passenger purchasing a funicular ticket on Oct 21 (Saturday) starting from 8am.

The limited-edition badges will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis until supplies last.

They hold great significance as they mark a century of service by the Penang Hill funicular railway, which officially commenced its operations on Oct 21, 1923.
