ALTHOUGH relatively new partners, Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional, as the unity government, have ensured continuous development in the country, caretaker Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said.
Having been in power for eight months, Chow said the current government has done justice to several projects in Penang that were once sidelined by previous governments.
He was referring to the approval of projects, such as the Penang’s first Light Rail Transit (LRT), the Penang Hill Cable Car and the introduction of four new ferries (catamarans).
“All these approvals and implementations would not have been possible without the unity government’s awareness of Penang’s stronghold towards the country’s economy.
“This is why PH and BN need to win as many seats as possible in Penang to ensure we continue this relationship with the Federal Government,” Chow said after visiting a food stall at Kuala Sungai Pinang in Balik Pulau today.
He was accompanied by BN candidate Ahmad Zaki Shah Headan, who will contest the Telok Bahang seat in the upcoming state election on Aug 12.
Later, Chow and his delegation were served a sumptuous lunch at the Eryna Cafe Curry Claypot restaurant in Balik Pulau.
There, he greeted and chatted with other customers and the public.
