“Seri Delima assemblyman Connie Tan has taken a commendable step in organising this red lantern lighting event in her constituency to welcome the Year of the Snake.

“In fact, this constituency has consistently been decorated and illuminated for various festivities, whether it is Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Christmas, or the Mid-Autumn Festival. The presence of these lanterns adds to the festive atmosphere and brings the community together,” he said.

Chow also emphasised the importance of maintaining stable public order in the state’s administration to ensure the successful implementation of infrastructure projects that benefit the people.

“We are confident in our vision to make Penang a model state by 2030,” he said, highlighting various initiatives already underway to achieve this milestone.

The ceremony featured cultural performances, including a lion dance and traditional Chinese shows, which added to the celebratory mood.

Notable attendees included former Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who is also the Bagan MP; Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh; state Social Development, Welfare, and Non-Religious Affairs Committee chairman Lim Siew Khim; MBPP mayor Datuk A.
