THE SJKC Chong Cheng Board of Management will organise a Cultural Night at its school hall on June 22 to raise funds for the construction of a roof over the basketball court.

Board chairman Datuk Seri Tan Choo Hin said they aim to raise RM460,000 for the project.

He mentioned that they have currently raised RM190,000, thanking the state government for donating RM80,000, and expressing gratitude to other well-wishers for their contributions.

“Our objective is to ensure that the school’s students can engage in basketball training and sports activities at any time without interruption from hot weather or rain.

“The school is committed to creating a conducive environment and providing quality infrastructure for the benefit and welfare of its students,” Choo Hin told a press conference held at the Old House Restaurant at Kimberley Street in George Town, which he operates.
