WHETHER Penang will or will not dissolve its state assembly for polls to be held concurrently, the decision will be revealed in the next few days.
Penang DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the state party committee has deliberated on several issues and assessed the current situation during the emergency meeting held earlier this evening following the dissolution of the parliament today.
“The state party committee will present the decision to the DAP central executive committee (CEC), which will be meeting tomorrow (Oct 11) night.
“In the meantime, we will also call for a Penang Pakatan Harapan meeting tomorrow (Oct 11) to evaluate and assess the same issues.
“The final decision will be announced after it has been discussed and decided at the state Pakatan Harapan, DAP CEC, and possibly the central Pakatan Harapan levels,” he told the media after the meeting at Wisma DAP in Rangoon Road today.
Chow, who is also the Penang Chief Minister, said the decision on whether Penang would be dissolving the state assembly for polls to be held concurrently, would be known in the next few days.
