THE upgrade of the drainage system along Jalan Telaga Air in Bagan Dalam is now fully completed.
Bagan Dalam assemblyman Kumaran Krishnan said the project, covering a 150m stretch, cost about RM63,000.

He said the allocation for the project was provided by the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) in the Prime Minister’s Department.

“The drainage upgrading project started on April 5 this year and was completed on July 1. The works also included improvements to pedestrian walkways, guardrails, road bumps and road signage along Jalan Telaga Air.

“Previously, during downpours, the water in the drain would overflow, posing a danger to road users, especially motorcyclists and school children.
“Now, with the completion of this project, the situation in the area has greatly improved,” Kumaran said at a press conference in Jalan Telaga Air yesterday (July 31).
Also present was Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng.
