PANTAI Hospital Penang has successfully become the first private hospital in the northern region to offer a drive-thru vaccination service to its second dose Covid-19 vaccine recipients.
The drive-thru vaccination effort had started on July 12 and the response had been good.

Its chief executive officer Pan Wen Lek said many people who were returning to the hospital for their second dose Covid-19 vaccine were excited to have it via drive-thru.
“This is a new effort for them to receive the vaccine in their vehicle. A total of 103 second dose recipients have been vaccinated via the drive-thru initiative from July 12 to 15,” he said recently.
Pan said the hospital staff would contact those who would be receiving their second dose at the hospital a day earlier.
“They will be offered the drive-thru or the walk-in option,” he said.

The Covid-19 vaccination centre (PPV) in Pantai Hospital has been operating since June 7 to assist in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP).
Pan said the hospital had administered 4,731 doses of vaccines from June 7 to July 15.
He said the hospital had increase the daily inoculation rate from 200 to 250 doses, from today onwards.
