Early Yuletide joy for Seri Delima folk

NO matter rain or shine, the Seri Delima constituents are showered with care and love, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.

The welfare of the needy in particular is not forgotten during this Yuletide celebration.

In fact, 60 bags of basic necessities were given to the eligible recipients of Village Community Management Councils (MPKK) Island Glades and Lengkok Bawah.

Seri Delima assemblyman Syerleena Abd Rashid told Buletin Mutiara that a total of RM6,000 was allocated for such purposes.

“This year is a very challenging period for all of us but we need to face all these obstacles.

“We need to be cautious and continue to adhere to the relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).

“We need to safeguard our safety and not to let our guard down in combating Covid-19,” she said at the MPKK Island Glades community hall today.

Syerleena added that it was important to assist those needy family with these basic necessities.

“It really helps them,” she added.

Those present were seen overjoyed after receiving bags of necessities from the elected representative.

Also present during the event were Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh’s representative Rachel Teh and MPKK Island Glades chairman Yeoh Beng Kee.
