THE 4th edition of the Electronics Manufacturing Expo Asia (EMAX) and the 3rd edition of the Penang Manufacturing Expo (PMAX) kicked off today at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, with the participation of more than 200 leading brands from 40 countries.
The three-day event, running until July 26, features a wide range of exhibitors, seminars, and networking opportunities, offering attendees valuable insights into technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
During the opening ceremony of the expo, EMAX and PMAX adviser J Philip Vincent highlighted that sustainability remains a key focus for the industry.
“Many exhibitors and participants at the expo are committed to promoting sustainable solutions, aligning with Malaysia’s vision for a greener more sustainable economy.
“We have organised many activities such as an international exhibition, conference, technical seminars, panel discussions, technical competency competitions, and networking opportunities.
“These activities help attendees gain insights, build partnerships, and explore new opportunities for growth,” he said, thanking his team, NRG Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd, the Federal and state agencies, AutomationSG, and the state government for their support.
Meanwhile, Vincent also shared that the upcoming event, Semiconductor Expo Asia (SMAX) 2025, aims to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a global semiconductor hub, with a focus on Penang.
Among the dignitaries who were present at the event were InvestPenang chief executive officer Datuk Loo Lee Lian, Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekaran, NRG Exhibitions founder and group CEO Kenny Yong, and several others.
