DUBBED the world’s first biofluorescent garden, Entopia by Night is now officially welcoming visitors, offering a mesmerising nocturnal exploration into the hidden wonders of nature.
This unique initiative by Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm is another hallmark of its innovative approach to nature education and eco-tourism.
Known for pioneering immersive learning experiences, Entopia once again raises the bar with this groundbreaking nighttime attraction.
Entopia by Night is an extraordinary experience where flora, fauna, and other natural elements unveil their ethereal glow under ultraviolet (UV) light.
Guests can marvel at the biofluorescent and bioluminescent displays, an awe-inspiring phenomenon that fuses science with artistry to reveal the secret brilliance of nature.
It is a captivating space where plants, insects, and wildlife radiate vibrant hues when illuminated by UV light. This sensory feast offers a rare opportunity to witness nature in a magical, otherworldly form.
Entopia chief executive officer Joseph Goh expressed his excitement for this new venture.

The soft opening ceremony was officiated by Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai recently, who lauded Entopia’s continued contributions to eco-tourism.
“This initiative speaks volumes about Entopia’s creativity and innovation, elevating Penang’s position as a hub for sustainable and educational tourism.
“Since its inception, Entopia has been a beacon for conservation and nature appreciation. With Entopia by Night, it has set another benchmark, offering visitors a truly captivating perspective of nature after sunset.
“This one-of-a-kind attraction not only deepens our understanding of nature’s adaptations but also enhances Penang’s appeal as a world-class tourism destination,” Wong remarked.
Adding to the enchantment is the Biofluorescent Odyssey, an exclusive themed dining experience at Tapestree Cafe. Guests can indulge in a culinary journey amidst the radiant glow of the biofluorescent garden, making this attraction an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
Entopia by Night is open every Friday and Saturday, from 7pm to 10pm, with the last entry at 9pm. To mark the launch, special introductory rates are available until Jan 31, ensuring this enchanting adventure is accessible to all.

The soft opening ceremony also saw the presence of notable figures, including Chinese vice consul-general in Penang Madam Ding Qiao, Association of Tourism Attractions Penang (ATAP) chairman Datuk Ch’ng Huck Theng, Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) national vice-chairman Datuk Khoo Boo Lim and Penang Global Tourism (PGT) chief executive officer Ooi Chok Yan.
