PENANG is a state full of wonders and offers one of the best street food in the world.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow promoted Penang during a reception to strengthen ties between Penang and Denmark.
“Penangites and the expatriate community celebrate friendship this evening. I hope that you enjoy yourself and that Denmark’s ambassador to Malaysia Jesper Vahr will explore Penang to the fullest.
“Pamper your taste buds and savour the greatness of Penang’s street food.
“We have a community of Danes who have made Penang their home under the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme.
“Penang is also home to several Danish brands. I hope that the Danish business community will explore and develop business opportunities in Penang,” Chow said during the reception at E&O Hotel Penang last night .
Also present were Republic of Indonesian consul-general in Penang Iwanshah Wibisono and Denmark honorary consul in Penang Lio Chee Yeong.
Joining them was the consul-general of the Kingdom of Thailand in Penang Raschada Jiwalai.
Some 280 guests attended the event.
