THE inaugural Penang Coffee Festival will kick off with the Penang Coffee & Desserts Festival at Gurney Paragon Mall from Sept 20 to 22 from 10am to 10pm.
State Tourism Development, Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said the Penang Coffee & Desserts Festival was designed distinctively to celebrate the burgeoning of vast selections of coffee and desserts in Penang.
Organised by TLM Event and co-organised by Gurney Paragon Mall with the endorsement of the Penang government, the festival will feature over 50 exhibitors, including experts and pioneers, showcasing the lifestyle of urban coffee and desserts scene in Penang.
This is the sixth edition of the Penang Coffee & Desserts Festival which now comes under the Penang Coffee Festival for the first time.
“This highly anticipated festival will also be congregating more than 20 food trucks for the signature Food Truck Gathering Party which will be held along Jalan Kelawai from 5pm to 10pm,” Yeoh told a press conference at the mall on Sept 16.
“The party will feature the best food trucks for mouth-watering yummy treasures served by vibrant yet edgy foods for a downtown gastronomic experience.”
Also present were TLM Event managing director Jack Wong, Hunza Group executive director Khor San Leng, Golden Chef Culinary Academy managing director Vincent Lee, Fred Coffee founder Sim Teong Chuan and Barista Haus founder Chang Chun Jiet.
