FIRE victims in the recent fire (two houses – No. 43 and No. 42A) at Jalan 4 Mukim 1, Air Itam which broke out on Aug 24 receive help from the TYT’s Disaster Relief Fund and Social Welfare Department. (Jabatan Kebajikan Malaysia).
One of the houses has been totally burnt down and the other, suffered damaged at the roof.
A special allocation of RM1,500 from the TYT’s disaster relief fund as well as RM500 from Jabatan Kebajikan Malaysia have been allocated to three families.
Whereas for another family who is the tenant at house No.42A received RM300 from the Social Welfare Department and RM500 from Air Itam state assemblyman Joseph Ng.
Apart from the family, an individual who is renting at the said house (No.42A) also received RM300 from the Social Welfare Department and RM300 from Ng.
During a press conference held at the Air Itam service centre on Aug 27, Ng made the announcement pertaining to the allocation for the fire victims.
M. Ramasamy, 56, Lee Hock Chye, 49 and Tan Svan Kin, 57 (tenants of house No.43) received RM1,000 from the TYT’s Disaster Relief fund during the press conference, the balance will be banked in to the
families.The owners K. Kanama, 74 ( No.43) received RM 3000 and M. Parameswari, 56 (No.42A) received RM1,000 from the TYT’s disaster relief fund as well.
