A DELEGATION from Xinjiang, China, led by Zumrat Obul, chairperson of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, paid a courtesy visit to Fahmi Zainol, the Penang state Agrotechnology, Food Security, and Cooperative Development Committee chairman, at Komtar today.
During the visit, Zumrat highlighted opportunities to strengthen ties between Xinjiang and Penang, particularly in the agriculture sector.
She noted the similarities between both regions’ agricultural industries and expressed interest in exploring collaborative efforts.
In response, Fahmi expressed hope that Xinjiang and Penang could work together in the high-tech agriculture sector to further enhance growth and innovation within the industry.
