THE Women Cultural Guide programme is one of the key events that is showcasing the cultural values of the communities in the state.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow praised the Penang Women and Family Development Committee (JPWK) for organising the programme.
“Such a programme should be held frequently to promote harmonious living in our neighbourhood.
“Penang is indeed a unique state as it has various ethnicities that promote diversity of cultural values.
“I’m happy to see everyone enjoying the various activities held today,” said Chow in his speech when launching the event at the Penang Youth Centre in Acheh Street.
He thanked JPWK for being the pillar behind the programme’s success.
During the event, cultural performances were also held to entertain the attendees.
Also present were Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim and JPWK Padang Kota chairman Datin Yeoh Phaik Suan.
