THE Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) will be organising a free coaching clinic for youth later this month in Seberang Perai.
Known as the ‘PYDC Youth Coaching Clinic’, it will be held at the Butterworth Digital Library on Nov 22, from 2pm to 4pm.
PYDC chairman Soon Lip Chee said the coaching clinic, themed ‘Coaching for High Performance’, is aimed at helping the youth to achieve higher performance in their study, career and daily life.
“This initiative also shows PYDC’s strong commitment to helping the youth in Penang to grow and achieve more.
“The coaching clinic will be conducted by using face-to-face and one-to-one methods between panel coaches and participants.
“Among the topics that will be shared by the coaches are problem-solving methods, effective stress management techniques, effective communication skills and self-motivation techniques.
“Thus, I urge our youth to participate in this programme to seek advice and guidance from these experts in order to overcome the challenges that they face in their life more effectively and rationally,” Soon told a press conference at Butterworth Digital Library today.
Also present was PYDC general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling.
According to Soon, who is also the state Youth and Sports Committee chairman, the registration for the coaching clinic is open now and the closing date is Nov 20.
“The programme is limited to 15 participants only due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“To participate, they must be a Penangite, aged between 15 and 35 year old, or those who study or work in Penang,” he added.
