THE Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) is organising free Youth Coaching Clinics for those between 15 and 35 years old, until December this year.
Penang Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said the coaching clinics would be held once a month from this month until December.
“The first session will be held on Oct 25 while the second session is on Nov 22. The third session will be held on Dec 20.
“The sessions (face-to-face and one-on-one with the coach), from 9.30am to 12.30pm, will be held at PYDC in Whiteaways Arcade, Beach Street.
“Each session can accommodate up to 15 participants,” he told a press conference in Komtar today.
Soon said the coaching clinics would provide an opportunity for youth to learn how to manage stress and pressure, to communicate effectively, to enhance problem-solving skills and to strengthen the development of the mind.
“The youth can enhance their academic, career and daily achievements with the guidance of the certified coaches.
“Malaysians who are born, work or study in Penang can join the coaching clinics,” he said.
Soon said the coaching clinics are not just for those who are facing problems in life.
“The clinics are also for those who want to improve themselves. We can help and guide you.
PYDC general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling said PYDC had invited more than 10 certified coaches for the coaching clinics.
“We thank the coaches for contributing their services as part of their corporate social responsibility.
“The participants can express themselves to any of the coaches, using the language that they feel comfortable with,” she said.
Also present were four coaches; namely Global Association of Applied Neuro Synergy master trainer Mohd Fauzi Nordin, Wisdom Woods founder Tan Khee Kwong (Coach K), Intellects Global Learning coach Chan Tze Yin and The Virtues Project facilitator Cladys Tan.
