THE Komtar service centre, in collaboration with Prangin Mall and several non-governmental organisations (NGOs), will be organising a free drive-thru campaign for Covid-19 screening on Dec 17.
The NGOs – Penang Hooi Lam Lian Heong Hoay Association, Pertubuhan Kesenian Hooi Lam Pulau Pinang, Penang Chay Yeong Tong Sin Quah Chuah Association and Penang Tong Aun Kim Har Association – will be co-organising the campaign.
Interworld Network (M) Sdn Bhd and Global Glades Medic Sdn Bhd are the sponsors for the programme.
According to Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng, the campaign which caters to some 150 individuals will be held at the Prangin Mall outdoor landscape (nearby CIMB Bank).
“We welcome the public to take part in the campaign which will be held from 9.30am till 4pm.
“We would like to thank our sponsors, Interworld Network (M) Sdn Bhd and Global Glades Medic Sdn Bhd for their support as well as Prangin Mall for being the venue sponsor.
“Apart from that, we also would like to convey our thanks to the NGOs for assisting us in the campaign,” said Teh during a press conference today.
Teh said the Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kit would be used for the screening.
“The organiser will then send the test results to the respective individuals via email or WhatsApp.
“A test validation report will be attached as well.
“The drive-thru service is available for all vehicles, which include motorcycles and bicycles,” he added.
