FREE health screening, a craft competition using recyclable materials for children, a preschool education fair, and other programmes for the B40 community will be held at Komtar Walk this Saturday (Dec 10).
The community event, organised by Blessed Entertainment, will be held from 9am to 3pm.
The company manager Annie Toh said the objective of the event was to encourage adults and children to adopt a healthy lifestyle, besides reaching out to the needy B40 community.
Other organisations namely, PDC Setia Urus, Penang Preschool Association, Village Community Management Council (MPKK) Macalister, Life Community Service, and JCI Penang were the event partners.
Meanwhile, PDC Setia Urus chief executive officer Ahmad Zuhairi Ismail said the PDC Setia Urus was trying to bring back the excitement to Komtar, specifically Komtar Walk.
“We plan to have more community events which can draw families and youths to Komtar Walk.
“Most shop lots in Komtar Walk are scheduled to be operational before the Chinese New Year celebration next year,” he said.
