PENANG Football Club (PFC) fans can now looking forward to having the club’s collar T-shirts, scarf mufflers and windbreaker jackets that will be released on Sept 20.
State Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said these merchandise were part of the effort being initiated by Penang FC for their supporters.
“For the collar T-shirts and scarf mufflers, they are available in blue pearl and blue warrior colours with #OrangKITA while windbreaker jackets are available in blue pearl ‘Haria Penang Haria’.
“The club’s branding effort by using the hashtag of #OrangKITA could help to increase the spirit and culture of sports among the local community.
“Those who are keen to make orders for the club’s items can call Kanan Kalimuthu, who is Penang FC marketing officer at 017-4556873; authorised distributor Adi Malaysia at 017-4241430; and Emiz SK at 017-4556972 beginning Sept 20.
“Besides that, Penang FC has also received numerous orders and enquiries for the items,” he said at a press conference in Komtar today.
The items are priced as follows: collar T-shirt (RM89), scarf muffler (RM49.90) and windbreaker jacket (RM109.90).
Soon said Penang FC would try to ensure all the sales’ requests are met soonest, especially during the Malaysia Cup campaign.
“Under Phase One and Phase Two, the sale of items will be done through online platform to ensure that the serious buyers are given priority.
“Apart from that, Penang FC management had been approached by various sports’ dealers who are keen to collaborate with Penang FC.
“Therefore, Penang FC expects the businesses with the various sports outlets to start from Nov 1 this year,” he said.
At the same event, Penang FC also presented souvenirs to each winner of the three categories, who garnered the highest views from the videos on inspirational words that they had submitted.
They were Muhammad Nuqmam Hakim Azhari (Men’s category), Siti Norosemiza Shaik Abu Bakar (Women’s category) and Teh Bi Han (Youths’ category).
Also present were state Finance officer Datuk Dr Farazi Johari, state Legal adviser Datuk Norazmi Mohd Narawi, Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI) deputy general manager S. Bharathi and Penang FC general manager Jeffrey Chew.
