Gooi offers words of comfort to injured Faisal

AS a mark of support for national footballer Faisal Halim, who is recovering from an acid attack incident, Daniel Gooi, the state Youth, Sports and Health Committee chairman, recently visited the striker.

Faisal, who plays for Selangor FC in the Malaysia Super League, returned to his hometown in Penang during a long-break.

During the short visit, Gooi, who is also the chairman of the Penang FC, offered words of comfort and encouragement to the Penang-born footballer following the unfortunate incident.

“I have also given a token contribution to Faisal’s family and a fruit basket.

“I hope Faisal will recover soon and be back to his usual playing days,” Gooi said.

Gooi was accompanied by Penang FC general manager Jeffrey Chew.

In return, Faisal thanked Gooi and Chew for their visit and support. He expressed hope to be able to return to action on the pitch soon.
