It is hope that the two-day Deepavali Carnival Komtar 2018 which started today will help to foster closer relationship between all races in the local community.
Deepavali – the festival of lights, symbolise brightness over darkness and also good over evil.
The response this year for the carnival is encouraging, with some 20 booths taking part, chief executive officer of PDC Setia Urus Datuk Ang Choo Hong said when launching the Simply Komtar Deepavali Carnival 2018 at Level 3 Komtar this morning.
Among the booths that participated in the carnival is PDC Scheme Fund which offer business funding from Skim Pinjaman Harapan.
This scheme was established to provide additional business capital for hawkers and small business operators.
Ang said the facility is open to all ethnic groups.
He encourage all local hawkers and small business operaters to apply, so as to strengthen their capabilities and management.
