THE ongoing upgrade of the pedestrian walkway at Komtar Bus Terminal is set to conclude on Dec 20 this year, according to Penang Island City Council (MBPP) councillor Benji Ang.

The council initiated the RM49,995 project on Nov 20, aiming to enhance convenience for bus commuters.

“The previous walkway, using interlocking blocks, was in poor condition and posed safety risks,” he said.

Ang added that the overall makeover cost for Komtar Bus Terminal, including LED lights, repainting, billboards, and facility upgrades, amounted to RM72,086.
