HILARY Reilly, ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia, and Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow had a fruitful discussion when she made a courtesy visit today.
She shared with Chow on Ireland’s history, its warm ties with Malaysia and what Ireland could offer in terms of economy and infrastructure in their 30-minute meeting in the Chief Minister’s office in Komtar.
Chow, who said he appreciated Reilly’s visit, remarked that Penang also attracted quite a number of foreign investors’ attention.
“Penang is a small state but strives to ensure economic growth,” he said.
At the meeting, Reilly presented a book, titled ‘Ireland’s Greening of the World’, to Chow while the latter reciprocated with a book, featuring Penang.
