TAMIL Nadu is fast emerging as India’s artificial intelligence (AI) hub, drawing significant investments and partnerships from global giants like Google, Amazon, and other internationally renowned companies.
This progress has captured the attention of the Penang government, sparking interest in potential collaborations between the two culturally connected states in science and technology.
In a video interview shared on his Facebook page yesterday, Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo announced plans to visit Chennai next week.
During the visit, he is scheduled to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing science and technology.
“India is a global powerhouse in science and technology, and Penang benefits from having a strong presence of Indian professionals, particularly in our multinational corporations.
“The Tamil Nadu government has made remarkable strides in these fields.
“Through our visit, we hope to gain insights and forge connections that will contribute to Penang’s economic growth in key sectors,” he added.
Jagdeep will lead a state delegation during the visit, focusing on building knowledge-sharing partnerships and driving innovation that benefits both regions.
