AS the Jelajah ❤️ Penang campaign came to an end today, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow was pleased to witness the strong engagement sessions with the folk on the ground.

Concluding his last ‘jelajah’ to the Tanjong parliamentary, Chow was delighted to engage the people and understand their issues.

“Since it started in June, we received encouraging support and an overwhelming response from Penangites.

“Jelajah ❤️ Penang enables us to monitor the projects that have been undertaken for the betterment of the community,” he said in his speech during his visit to the Lee Shih Chong Soo @ Lee Kongsi in Burmah Road.

During the event, Chow thanked Lee Kongsi for providing a place for him and his team to have lunch after back-to-back events.

Chow also presented mock cheques to various organisations. Several upgrading projects are to be carried out at the respective premises.

Lee Shih Chong Soo (Lee Kongsi) received RM98,000, while RM50,000 was given to Ng See Kah Miew building, RM30,000 has been provided for Saw Khaw Lean (Heah) Chong Shu building, and RM89,828 was given to Penang Baptist Church for the rooftop repair works and replacement of equipment.

He was accompanied by the church’s chairman Lim Kong Eong.
