SEVERAL health groups will collaborate to host a range of activities, including a health talk and a blood donation drive, at Gurney Walk in George Town on April 7 (Sunday) from 7.30am to 12.30pm in commemoration of World Health Day.
Organised by MyDocLab, a digital health app, in collaboration with an array of esteemed partners, including Ke Wynn Medical Fitness, Anak Pinang, Rose Charities, AvantHealth, Global Edge Pharma, Mediven, Pacco Healthcare, Podiatric Footcare Centre, and MediLabz, this event is dedicated to fostering health and well-being within the community.
Additionally, Lam Wah Ee Hospital will be conducting a blood donation campaign concurrently from 9am to 2pm.
This year holds particular significance as it coincides with the unveiling of the Gurney Bay walkway recently, offering participants a rejuvenating and picturesque pathway to partake in physical activity.
Moreover, the event mirrors the aspirations of Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak’s initiative to plant a million trees, underscoring a collective commitment to environmental sustainability alongside endeavors to enhance public health.
Chen Li Li, the senior principal pharmacist and pivotal organiser from MyDocLab, expressed her fervour for this year’s event, remarking, “This marks our third year orchestrating this initiative, where our esteemed collaborators are dedicated to cultivating a healthier community through heightened awareness.
“This year holds even greater significance as we traverse the newly unveiled scenic Gurney Bay while championing the Penang Governor’s noble mission to plant a million trees.”
Scheduled from 7.30am to 12.30pm, the event will showcase an array of health-centric activities, encompassing complimentary health screenings, skin analyses, fitness sessions, informative health talks, and engaging senior performances.
Participants of all ages are warmly encouraged to partake in the festivities and embark on proactive measures toward fortifying their health and well-being.
“Let’s come together to commemorate World Health Day at Gurney Walk and collectively endeavor towards sculpting a healthier, more sustainable future for all!
