BUSINESS and leisure travellers can look forward to enjoy the Holiday Inn & Suites hotel in the next few years.
The fruitful collaboration between Exopuri Group of Companies and InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) marked the aspiration of both parties to bring in the Holiday Inn & Suites hotel to Juru Sentral.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the collaboration between the two business partners would spur the growth of Juru and the southern part of Seberang Perai.
“The future of Penang lies in Seberang Perai.
“I believe that the upcoming Holiday Inn & Suites hotel will enhance the tourism industry in Penang. It is also an income generator for Penang in tourism and in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE),” Chow told reporters during a press conference at Komtar today.
Chow said the tourism industry plays a major role in the state’s economic growth.
The 35-storey four-star business class hotel with 288 rooms will be an outstanding ‘structural indicator’ of how Seberang Perai will be in the future.
The construction of the hotel has begun and it is scheduled to open for business in the fourth quarter of 2021.
